Erasmus+ opens up valuable opportunities for our school community to cooperate within the EU and enables exchange across cultural, linguistic and academic boundaries. Stays abroad within Europe strengthen students\u2019 awareness of democracy, promote multilingualism and provide opportunities to expand knowledge and skills in the humanities and natural sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Aptos Narrow, serif;\">In addition, the programme also offers teachers the opportunity to participate in international training courses and professional development activities, as well as to get to know partner schools better through so-called \u201cjob shadowing\u201d and gain insight into other school systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Aptos Narrow, serif;\">Stays abroad allow participants to become familiar with new methods, broaden their perspectives and create networks far beyond individual partnerships. Dr. Sabine Seidl<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: Aptos Narrow, serif;\">Types of Mobility<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Aptos Narrow, serif;\"><strong>Short-term Mobility (Students)<\/strong><br>Short-term mobilities enable students to spend several days to several weeks (2\u20134 weeks) at a partner school in another EU country. Participants can gain their first international experiences, develop enthusiasm for using a foreign language actively, deepen and expand their knowledge and skills, and build international networks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Aptos Narrow, serif;\"><strong>Long-term Mobility (Students)<\/strong><br>In long-term mobilities, students spend several weeks (more than six weeks) up to an entire school year at a partner school abroad. They immerse themselves intensively in the culture and language of the host country and sustainably develop both academic and personal competences. They gain insight into different ways of living and learning and strengthen their independence and sense of responsibility. Long-lasting international friendships often develop beyond the exchange itself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Aptos Narrow, serif;\"><strong>Group Mobility (Students)<\/strong><br>Several students travel together as a group to a partner school to participate in workshops, projects or programmes. This form of mobility strengthens teamwork skills, intercultural competence and collaborative learning and is an excellent opportunity to gain initial Erasmus+ experience in a familiar environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Aptos Narrow, serif;\"><strong>Courses and Training (Teaching Staff)<\/strong><br>Teachers can take part in professional development courses, workshops or specialist training abroad within the Erasmus+ programme. They expand their methodological and didactic knowledge, learn innovative teaching approaches and bring new ideas back to the school. After returning, they share their experiences with colleagues so that the entire teaching staff benefits from the stay abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Aptos Narrow, serif;\"><strong>Job Shadowing (Teaching Staff)<\/strong><br>During job shadowing activities, teachers accompany colleagues at a partner school abroad during lessons.
